This study used national health data and machine learning to develop sex-specific prenatal and perinatal prediction models for autism spectrum disorder (ASD). Major risk factors for ASD were identified as pregestational body mass index, socioeconomic status, maternal age at birth, sex, and delivery institution. Among these, pregestational body mass index and socioeconomic status showed different patterns depending on sex.
