Bozeman is the last large city in Montana with only one high school. The school district is hoping voters will pass a 1.25 million dollar bond to build a second high school. Over a decade ago, Kalispell went through the same growing pains Bozeman is facing now. "It was clear, something needed to be done." Said long time Kalispell School Board Trustee Don Murray. Murray remembers community sentiment leading up to a second high school.

Bozeman's City Manager is out of a job. With the city commission looking on, Mayor Carson Taylor announced City Manager Chris Kukulsi's last day is March 27, 2017. It was apparently a unanimous decision by the Commission to part ways with Kukulski who will serve the remainder of his time on paid leave. Beyond that, very few details were given. "It’s a personnel matter but really I think we captured it we're headed in a different direction,” said Taylor.

The Sheriff's Office is giving away locks with a combination not a key. (MTN News) Patrol cars in Gallatin County are armed with a new piece of equipment that could save lives: gun locks. The move comes after the tragic death of 9-year-old Greydun Flinn Stockinger. Greydun was killed by an accidental gunshot wound last week. On Monday, Sheriff Brian Gootkin announced that all law enforcement agencies in the County will now carry gun locks in patrol cars.
