Six-week-old male wild-type C57BL/6 mice were purchased from BioLasco Taiwan Co. Ltd (Taipei City, Taiwan). All animal experiments were conducted in specific pathogen-free environments, in compliance with the Care and Use of Laboratory Animals guidelines. The mice were housed in controlled environments, with clean-air rooms, a 12-hour light-dark cycle, and 50–60% relative humidity. They received human care for 14 days to acclimatize before the start of the experiment.
