Editor's evaluation This is an important study that discovered a TGFb-inducible enhancer region in a human melanoma cell line that functions across vertebrates and was used to generate a zebrafish melanoma TGFb reporter model. The data is solid and provides interesting insights into TGFb signaling that is only activated in advanced melanoma.
