Erin LeCount is an anomaly. The UK-born alt-pop singer-songwriter is not only an entirely self-taught artist, but she is also the sole writer and producer on her work – a rarity for an artist at any age, much less someone who is freshly 23 years old. LeCount almost feels too good to be true – she somehow possesses the vocal prowess of Florence Welch, the introspective lyricism of Ethel Cain, and a production quality on par with some of pop’s biggest names.

After facing obstacles like transferring to and from GW and a surprise early graduation date, seniors are reflecting on their time at GW as Commencement approaches. From living in the bizarre and decrepit Thurston Hall to navigating a pandemic, members of the Class of 2023 lived through all the ups and downs GW has to offer.

Woodley Park’s first Black-owned restaurant is the place to be for Instagrammable cocktails, celebratory ambiance and upscale soul food. With a flair for extravagance and a passion for elevated Southern cuisine, co-owner Chefs Lew McAlister and Pinkey Reddick were joined by the Bowser Administration to cut the ribbon at Flavorture’s historic opening ceremony in February.
