Tucked away in my family’s garage, amidst an assembly of everyday items, there is a plastic bin filled with about a dozen handwritten books. Each one is around 10 to 15 years old and illustrates different versions of my life story. The storylines often fluctuated due to my ever-changing interests and passions. In some versions, I attended college and became a teacher; in others, I dropped out of school and performed on Broadway. But each one followed a particular order.
