Iris is not one of the most obvious materials in the perfume world. One can incorporate it into many different contexts: green-vegetable, woody, powdery-lipsticky or even leathery. Iris materials are expensive and difficult to work with, but it seems that this fact only intrigued the founder of the Fakoshima brand Konstantin Shilyaev and perfumer Yaroslav Simonov. In February 2023 they presented the Moonlight Rainbow fragrance dedicated to the iris flower.
