1 Introduction Self-efficacy refers to an individual's belief in their ability to influence life events through their capabilities (Bandura 1977). Bandura emphasized that self-efficacy plays a pivotal role in predicting and explaining behavior and should be measured in a context-specific manner (Bandura 2006).
