Quantum many-body mixed phase space revealed by hybrid feedback control
Abstract Understanding how complex systems transition between order and chaos is a central challenge of non-equilibrium physics. Although weak perturbations of classical integrable systems give rise to a mixed phase space in which regular and chaotic trajectories coexist, analogous behaviour in interacting quantum many-body systems has been difficult to identify.
Electrically programmable polariton symmetry breaking via non-Hermitian dissipation engineering
Abstract The optical response of natural materials is constrained by crystal symmetry, limiting the design of reconfigurable nanophotonic devices. Here we demonstrate the electrically programmable symmetry breaking of phonon polaritons via non-Hermitian dissipation engineering. In a heterostructure composed of α-MoO3 and aligned carbon nanotubes (A-CNTs), we identify the A-CNT layer as an anisotropic dissipative medium.

Discovery and quantification of novel diazepam metabolites BP-246 and BP-271 in freshwater fish using HRMS and UPLC-MS/MS
Abstract Diazepam, commonly used in freshwater fish transport and aquaculture, poses potential food safety and public health risks due to its residues and metabolites. However, current monitoring efforts primarily focus on the parent drug and its major metabolites, leaving potential toxic transformation products uncharacterized.

A bidirectional association between school environmental factors and physical activity habit formation among Chinese urban adolescents: a cross-lagged panel model
Abstract Background: School environment is considered one of the important external factors that affect the formation of physical activity habits among teenagers, and its mechanism of action and time effect still require verification through longitudinal evidence. Methods: In this survey, junior and senior high school students in Shanghai were selected as samples. A three-time point tracking design was adopted to obtain valid questionnaires totaling 1,235.
Meta‐Analysis of Treatment Methods for Poststroke Cognitive Impairment: A Network Analysis of Various Interventions
1 Introduction Stroke remains a leading cause of mortality and disability worldwide, with approximately 13.7 million new cases occurring annually (Feigin et al. 2017). While the primary focus of acute stroke management is to minimize neurological damage and prevent mortality, the long-term sequelae of stroke, particularly cognitive impairment, have gained increasing recognition as critical determinants of functional recovery and quality of life (Sun et al. 2014; Cumming et al. 2013).

Effect of heat treatment on fatigue properties of new fracturing pump valve box material 30CrNi3MoV
ABSTRACT In the exploitation of shale oil and gas, the fracturing pump, as a key equipment for transporting liquid from the ground to the formation and increasing pressure, needs to withstand high-pressure cyclic loading, which has high requirements on the fatigue performance of the fracturing pump valve material.
Finite element models of intervertebral disc: recent advances and prospects
Abstract Objectives The incidence rate of intervertebral disc degeneration (IVDD) is increasing year by year, which brings great harm to our health. The change of biomechanical factors is an important reason for IVDD. Therefore, more and more studies use finite element (FE) models to analyze the biomechanics of spine. Methods In this review, literatures which reported the FE model of intervertebral disc (IVD) were reviewed.

Mixture-of-Agents Enhances Large Language Model Capabilities
Papers Published on Jun 7 · Submitted by akhaliq on Jun 10 #1 Paper of the day Abstract Recent advances in large language models (LLMs) demonstrate substantial capabilities in natural language understanding and generation tasks. With the growing number of LLMs, how to harness the collective expertise of multiple LLMs is an exciting open direction. Toward this goal, we propose a new approach that leverages the collective strengths of multiple LLMs through a Mixture-of-Agents (MoA) methodology.

Implementing Green Roofs in the Private Realm for City-Wide Stormwater Management in Vancouver: Lessons Learned from Toronto and Portland
Abstract : Green roofs are an innovative stormwater management technology that has numerous environmental benefits. Citywide implementation is critical to maximizing the benefits of green roofs, especially in terms of jurisdictional encouragement and advancing management programs. The City of Vancouver is interested in developing a rainwater management strategy that supports the widespread implementation of green roofs on private property.

Multifunctional terahertz metamaterial based on vanadium dioxide and silicon
Abstract This paper proposes a multifunctional metamaterial device operating in the terahertz (THz) band. The metamaterial device can switch functions by using the phase transition properties of vanadium dioxide (V O 2) and the photoconductive effect of silicon. An intermediate metal layer divides the device into the I side and II side.

Three types of bidirectional leader development in triggered lightning flashes - Scientific Reports
Abstract Eight cases of bidirectional leader (BL) development in artificially triggered lightning flashes are reported with synchronous high-speed camera images and electric field signals. Based on optical progressing characteristics, the eight cases can be divided into three types: a reflection type, a discontinuity type, and an inducement type.
Undoped Hole Transport Layer Toward Efficient and Stable Inorganic Perovskite Solar Cells
Abstract Numerous strategies have been practiced to improve the power conversion efficiency of CsPbI2Br-based perovskite solar cells (PSCs), which definitely makes efficiency gradually approach the theoretical efficiency limit. However, sufficient device stability is still in urgent demand for commercialization, pushing to overcome some instability sources induced by hygroscopicity of spiro-OMeTAD and residual strain of perovskite layer.

Predicting Mutational Effects on Receptor Binding of the Spike Protein of SARS-CoV-2 Variants
The pandemic caused by SARS-CoV-2 has cost millions of lives and tremendous social/financial loss. The virus continues to evolve and mutate. In particular, the recently emerged “UK”, “South Africa”, and Delta variants show higher infectivity and spreading speed. Thus, the relationship between the mutations of certain amino acids and the spreading speed of the virus is a problem of great importance.
Exploring the Activation Process of the β2AR-Gs Complex
G-Protein-coupled receptors (GPCRs) belong to an important family of integral membrane receptor proteins that are essential for a variety of transmembrane signaling process, such as vision, olfaction, and hormone responses. They are also involved in many human diseases (Alzheimer’s, heart diseases, etc.) and are therefore common drug targets. Thus, understanding the details of the GPCR activation process is a task of major importance.
A biocatalytic hydroxylation-enabled unified approach to C19-hydroxylated steroids
Abstract Steroidal C19-hydroxylation is pivotal to the synthesis of naturally occurring bioactive C19-OH steroids and 19-norsteroidal pharmaceuticals. However, realizing this transformation is proved to be challenging through either chemical or biological synthesis. Herein, we report a highly efficient method to synthesize 19-OH-cortexolone in 80% efficiency at the multi-gram scale.
Targeted Delivery of a Ligand-Drug Conjugate via Formyl Peptide Receptor 1 through Cholesterol-Dependent Endocytosis
G protein-coupled receptors (GPCRs) undergo ligand-induced internalization that carries the cognate ligands into intracellular compartments. The present study explores this property for the use of formyl peptide receptor 1 (FPR1), a class A GPCR that binds formylated peptides, as a potential target for drug delivery.
