Silenced? Does social-media real-name registration policy facilitate firm misconduct? Evidence from greenwashing in China
Abstract Removing anonymity in social media may stimulate firm misconduct as it reduces social media’s monitoring effects. This paper employs China’s 2015 social media real-name registration policy as a quasi-natural experiment that requires internet users to register their real ID with the government. Results indicate that the policy caused a robust and economically meaningful increase in corporate greenwashing which is a classical misconduct. Results are robust with various robustness checks.

KLF2 controls the apoptosis of neutrophils and is associated with disease activity of systemic lupus erythematosus - Arthritis Research & Therapy
A total of 68 patients who fulfilled the 1997 revised American College of Rheumatology classification criteria for the SLE [19] were recruited from the First Affiliated Hospital of Nanchang University from 2020.1 to 2024.6. Disease activity was assessed by the SLEDAI-2000 index [20]. Individuals with other autoimmune or rheumatic diseases, kidney diseases other than lupus nephritis, pregnancy, HIV, or malignancy were excluded from this study.

Off-plane quartz-enhanced photoacoustic spectroscopy
In this work, we developed off-plane quartz-enhanced photoacoustic spectroscopy (OP-QEPAS). In the OP-QEPAS the light beam went neither through the prong spacing of the quartz tuning fork (QTF) nor in the QTF plane. The light beam is in parallel with the QTF with an optimal distance, resulting in low background noise. A radial-cavity (RC) resonator was coupled with the QTF to enhance the photoacoustic signal by the radial resonance mode.

Transcriptome and Metabolome Provide Insights into Fruit Ripening of Cherry Tomato (Solanum lycopersicum var. cerasiforme)
1. Introduction Improving fruit flavor while maintaining high yields, disease resistance, and long postharvest shelf life poses a significant challenge for breeders [1,2]. To achieve this goal, it is essential to gain a comprehensive understanding of how flavor compounds are formed throughout the fruit ripening process. Tomato (Solanum lycopersicum) serves as a primary model system for studying climacteric fleshy fruit development and ripening [3]. Cherry tomatoes (Solanum lycopersicum var.

Inorganic Stable Sn-based Perovskite Film with Regulated Nucleation for Solar Cell Application
Inorganic Stable Sn-based Perovskite Film with Regulated Nucleation for Solar Cell Application The tin (Sn)-based halide perovskite has attracted tremendous attentions as a lead-free alternative in halide perovskite solar cells (PSCs). Inorganic cesium tin triiodide (CsSnI3) provides a promising solution to the poor thermal stability of Sn-based halide perovskite.

Biological impact of lead from halide perovskites reveals the risk of introducing a safe threshold
Abstract Regulations currently in force enable to claim that the lead content in perovskite solar cells is low enough to be safe, or no more dangerous, than other electronics also containing lead. However, the actual environmental impact of lead from perovskite is unknown. Here we show that the lead from perovskite leaking into the ground can enter plants, and consequently the food cycle, ten times more effectively than other lead contaminants already present as the result of the human activities.
Design principles of carbazole/dibenzothiophene derivatives as host material in modern efficient organic light-emitting diodes
Modern high-efficiency organic light-emitting diodes (OLEDs) based on phosphorescence and thermally activated delayed fluorescence (TADF) rely on host materials that are optimized with respect to many properties simultaneously, including thermal stability, photophysical properties, energy levels, and charge carrier transport.

A canonical role of SMAD4 in safeguarding 3D genome architecture to suppress lung tumorigenesis
|
Abstract Dysregulation of three-dimensional (3D) genome architecture is a hallmark of cancer, yet the mechanisms by which its disruption drives tumorigenesis remain incompletely understood. Here, we demonstrated that SMAD4 regulated 3D genome organization through its canonical transcription factor activity by directly binding chromatin, thereby suppressing lung tumorigenesis. Hi-C analyses of human lung tumors identify SMAD4 as a potential regulator of 3D genome integrity.
