Machine learning prediction of bile salt export pump inhibition with Boruta feature selection in imbalanced data
Abstract Introduction: Bile salt export pump (BSEP) inhibition is an important mechanistic risk factor for cholestatic drug-induced liver injury. Quantitative structure-activity relationship (QSAR) models may support early safety screening, but practical BSEP datasets are often limited in size and imbalanced. Methods: We evaluated a machine-learning workflow combining molecular descriptors and fingerprints, Boruta feature selection, and class-imbalance training.
High-performance near-infrared circularly polarized electroluminescence with an emission peak beyond 900 nm
Abstract Near-infrared spin-light-emitting diodes (NIR-Spin-LEDs), which generate circularly polarized light, offer opportunities for applications such as biomedicine. However, the longest reported emission wavelength of NIR-Spin-LEDs remains limited to 782 nm, making spin-polarized electroluminescence beyond 800 nm challenging. Here we show NIR-Spin-LEDs based on a mixed-dimensional tin-based perovskite heterostructure incorporating chiral R/S-α-methylbenzylammonium (R/S-MBA+) spacer cations.
Time-restricted feeding improves functional capacity of adipose-derived stem cells with activation of OSK-associated transcriptional programs
Abstract Time-restricted feeding (TRF), a circadian-based dietary intervention, has emerged as a promising strategy to counteract metabolic and age-related dysfunctions. However, how TRF can reverse stem cell aging and restore tissue regenerative potential remains unclear. In this study, we investigated the effects of long-term TRF on senescent adipose-derived stem cells (ADSCs) in a high-fat diet (HFD) induced aged mice model.
Enhancing remote sensing road extraction via DS-Unet with complementary attention and surrogate gradients - Scientific Reports
Abstract Existing semantic segmentation methods for road extraction in remote sensing imagery often struggle with limited long-range dependency modeling and semantic redundancy in feature fusion, further compounded by training instability caused by standard activation functions like ReLU. To address these challenges, we propose DS-Unet, a novel architecture that fundamentally reconstructs feature fusion and activation paradigms.

A novel metal-semiconductor SERS self-cleaning system with synergistic effects for highly sensitive detection of pollutants
A novel metal–semiconductor SERS self-cleaning system with synergistic effects for highly sensitive detection of pollutants† Accuracy and reusability are the major concerns in the development of surface-enhanced Raman scattering (SERS) technology. This study reports an Au nano-urchin (Au NU)/TiO2@ZnO composite self-cleaning SERS substrate for cyclic detection of common pollutants.
Advanced Lead-free Double Perovskite/Silica Hybrid Nanocrystals for Highly Stable Light-Emitting Diodes
Advanced Lead-free Double Perovskite/Silica Hybrid Nanocrystals for Highly Stable Light-Emitting Diodes The commercial viability of fluorescent materials is critically contingent on their thermal stability. Recent interest has converged on lead-free double perovskites (DPs), renowned for their optical properties mirroring those of traditional lead-based counterparts and superior atmospheric stability.

The association of plasma miR-155 and VCAM-1 levels with coronary collateral circulation
The association of plasma miR-155 and VCAM-1 levels with coronary collateral circulation Aim: Inflammation plays an important role in development of coronary collateral circulation (CCC). The aim of this study is to determine whether the inflammation-related miRNA miR-155 and the inflammation marker VCAM-1 could be a biomarker for CCC.
