I met with a bunch of former colleagues recently. A regular monthly breakfast catch-up with a smaller group took on some momentum when we wondered if we put the word out, whether others would join. Well, yes, they came. It was wonderful to catch up with so many people whom I had worked with in the early 1980s and beyond. Even more wonderful was that a number of them are still working (in slightly different roles albeit) for the same organisation today.

I’ve recently joined a semi-regular catch-up of colleagues who worked for the New Zealand Insolvency Service. These former colleagues meet for coffee and breakfast every few months. I’d bumped into a former colleague in town and he mentioned the meet-up and sent me an invite. It has been wonderful to reconnect with these fine folk. I only worked briefly for the insolvency service, I started and ended my government career as a Companies Office person.
