What was your first job as a journalist?
Beat reporter for the Kent County Daily Times in West Warwick, R.I.
Did you work for your high school newspaper? If so, what did you do there?
High school, no. But in college, I worked as a writer and editor for URI's Good Five Cent Cigar.
What advice can you offer to aspiring journalists?
Don't get stuck in a dead-end job because "it's a job." The job you want is out there
Aside from your own, what's your favorite publication to read?
All my favorite websites are dead (Grantland, Gawker), but I'm fortunate to work with a lot of my favorites at The Ringer.
