Introduction Regional corneal epithelial measurements have proven valuable in ophthalmology, particularly in keratoconus and refractive surgery evaluation and management. A multilayered structure, the epithelium primarily provides a barrier function and secondarily impacts corneal optical power by reducing the cornea's radius of curvature.
