He got his start in radio as an intern at his hometown CBS station, KDKA in Pittsburgh. He first came on board KYW Newsradio in 2009, working as a desk assistant, service aide, and reporter for “Hear Philly.”

In 2011, Justin took a position at Federal News Radio, in Washington, DC, where he worked as a producer for “In Depth” with Francis Rose.

PHILADELPHIA (KYW Newsradio) — Police in Delaware County have arrested a man they say pulled a gun on a group of teens after they hit his car with a snowball following one of the recent winter storms. On March 2, police said three teenagers in Prospect Park were at the corner of Chester Pike and Lincoln Avenue when one of them threw a snowball at a car. Instead of driving off and reporting the incident, police said the driver took matters into his own hands.

Man accused of punching Delco school crossing guard is arrested in South Carolina

DARBY, Pa. (KYW Newsradio) — The man seen on surveillance video punching a school crossing guard in the face earlier this week in Darby, Delaware County, has been arrested in South Carolina, the U.S. Marshals Service said on Friday. Officials said 29-year-old Rashiem Russell, of West Philadelphia, was apprehended around 11 a.m. in Darlington, South Carolina. He is awaiting extradition to Pennsylvania. The assault happened on Monday during school dismissal outside Walnut Street Elementary.
