Iron metabolism interference-enhanced sonodynamic therapy of methicillin-resistant Staphylococcus aureus-induced osteomyelitis by CaCO3-Ga-PPIX@PEG nanospheres
Osteomyelitis is a bone infection disease caused by trauma, surgery, or the spread of a tissue infection [1]. Osteomyelitis usually locates in deep sites and is prone to recurrence. Infected bone tissues are difficult to heal and may lead to amputation [2]. Traditional treatment methods for osteomyelitis typically involve high-dose antibiotics and surgical debridement [2a, 3]. However, excessive use of antibiotics may lead to bacterial resistance and serious side effects [4].

Assessing postoperative analgesic efficacy of anterior quadratus lumborum block for laparoscopic colorectal surgery
Coppens et al. showed that the addition of a bilateral anterior quadratus lumborum block to a standard multimodal analgesia strategy did not decrease total opioid consumption or improve postoperative pain control [1]. However, the authors did not describe whether local anaesthetic wound infiltration was performed before incision or at the end of surgery.

Photosensitizing Antihypertensive Drug Use and Risk of Cutaneous Squamous Cell Carcinoma
Many antihypertensive drugs (ADs) are photosensitizing, heightening reactivity of the skin to sunlight. Photosensitizing ADs have been associated with lip cancer, but whether they impact cutaneous squamous cell carcinoma (cSCC) risk is unknown. To examine the association between AD use and cSCC risk among a cohort of non‐Hispanic whites with hypertension enrolled in a comprehensive integrated healthcare delivery system in northern California (n=28,357).
