Pressure measurements via water vapor absorption spectroscopy for application to post-detonation environments
This work presents laser absorption-based pressure measurements in a simulated post-detonation environment to experimentally study the dynamic range, accuracy, and sensitivity of optically measured gas pressures in dynamic flow fields.
Nitric oxide molecular tagging velocimetry of a free-flight model in a reflected shock tunnel
Nitric oxide molecular tagging velocimetry (NO MTV) is used to characterize the wake behind a free-flight spherical model in the test section of a free-piston reflected shock tunnel using a burst-mode laser operated at 100 kHz. A novel (to our knowledge) multi-delay timing scheme was implemented to measure velocity in a varying collisional environment in the wake of the free-flight model.

How often do awake craniotomies in children and adolescents lead to panic and worry?
Child's Nervous System, Aug 2023 Awake craniotomy (AC) is the treatment of choice for the resection of brain tumors within eloquent brain regions for adults, but not much is known about its psychological impact on children and adolescents. Patient immaturity and difficulty in cooperating during surgery could result in psychological sequelae postoperatively, such as anxiety, panic, and worry.
Attitudes towards Plastic Pollution: A Review and Mitigations beyond Circular Economy
Abstract : Plastic pollution has received unprecedented attention globally, and there are increasing calls to control it. Despite this, the uptrends of plastic consumption and mismanaged plastic waste show little sign of reversal. This review aims to examine the attitudes of various societal groups towards plastics to identify the behavioral barriers to reduce plastic pollution and synthesize effective countermeasures.
