75 Vande Bharat trains to start service by end of 2023; Kerala to get 2

Chennai: 75 out of 400 Vande Bharat trains that were announced on Independence Day last year will start service by the end of 2023, sources say. Some of these trains will also run to Kerala. The first train is expected to become operational by March 2022, and the second one by June. Other trains will also start their services in stages. The new Train-18 trains come under the umbrella of the newly declared PM Gati Shakti. The manufacturing of 400 will be completed within three years.
