The college sports landscape is continually changing, and to many, it is changing for the worse. The latest example of this ever-evolving world was a recent ruling by a Texas judge allowing Texas Tech quarterback Brendan Sorsby to play this season after he admitted to betting on games while at three schools. Sorsby’s cardinal sin was betting on games involving Indiana University, the school he played for at the time.

By Kahlil Thomas Final X , freestyle wrestling , James Green , Prudential Center , USA Wrestling On Friday, the Prudential Center hosted Final X, where USA Wrestling held meets to determine who would be part of the U.S. Senior National Team in freestyle wrestling for the 2026 Senior World Championships in Astana, Kazakhstan. The format featured a best-of-three series between two wrestlers in a specific weight class.

On Saturday, the Prudential Center hosted Crossroads in Brick City. This Jersey-centric boxing card from RDR Promotions featured ten fighters from the Garden State. The ten-fight card included Brick City’s own Anthony Johns, who fought for the IBF North American Super Flyweight title, and Yoell Cooper’s second professional fight, the 18-year-old phenom who faced Ricardo Elizalde on the undercard.
