Ted Pankiewicz Jr., co-founder For the Love of Paws in Fellsmere, is in the process of rebuilding and expanding the pet sanctuary after it was destroyed three months ago in a fire that killed 11 cats and a tortoise. For the Love of Paws has been growing since its inception in 2013. The animal sanctuary in Fellsmere that started as a commemoration of owner Ted Pankiewicz Jr.’s late wife, Jessica Pankiewicz, first expanded in 2014 with a meals-on-wheels program.
