Dear Editor The authors have worked in Gaza as humanitarian workers with Medical Aid for Palestine and Fajr Scientific over the past 18 months. As Consultant Surgeons in the UK NHS, we are accustomed to seeing human pain and suffering; but what we witnessed as humanitarian workers in Gaza was unfathomable and unconscionable. 95% of schools in Gaza have been bombed. Schools used as emergency shelters, and packed with civilians - women, children, the elderly.
