Share When St. Lawrence University pin-hitter Berit Brecke ’26 was in middle school, one of her mom’s tennis friends signed her daughter up for club volleyball. Brecke, eager to join, had her mom sign her up as well. That one decision changed her life, as her love and passion for volleyball began, and her career skyrocketed. Prior to starting volleyball, Brecke was a swimmer, hockey player and a rock climber.

Share On Saturday, Nov. 1, the St. Lawrence volleyball team dominated their final away games of the season, beating both SUNY Polytechnic Institute and Keuka College 3-0. With their Liberty League matches concluded for the season, the Saints look to finish their schedule having met one goal: to bring their unfinished business into the 2026 season.

Share After tying the weekend 1-1 against two Liberty League competitors, Ithaca College and Bard College, the St. Lawrence volleyball team is looking to beat out one more team to secure a spot in the 2025 playoffs. To do so, they must push someone else out. As the Saints emerged victorious against their previous Liberty League opponents, Bard and Rochester Institute of Technology, they will have to play hard and consistently in their upcoming matches.
