ABSTRACT Dual-axis solar photovoltaic tracking (DASPT) represents a fundamental technology in optimizing solar energy capture by dynamically adjusting the orientation of PV systems to follow the sun’s trajectory throughout the day. This paper provides an in-depth review of the development, implementation, and performance of DASPT.

Introduction About 40% of the world’s annual total energy consumption, of which more than 27% is attributed to household energy consumption, is accounted for by the construction and building industry [1,2,3,4]. Moreover, a significant contributor to global carbon emissions is the construction industry [5,6]. Due to the rising demand for thermal comfort in buildings, space heating and cooling account for more than 38% of the energy used in residential structures [7].
