Friday’s earthquake served as a stark warning for Dhaka, exposing fragile building standards and disorganised urban planning. Millions now remain in unsafe structures with no secure refuge should a stronger tremor strike — a scenario experts say could spell catastrophe for the capital. As of reporting time, at least ten people had died and more than 500 were injured in the 5.7-magnitude quake that shook the country.

The following corrections have been made. (1) In the description of the Study Area in the Materials and Methods, the estimated dry weight of biosolids should be 2.5–2.7 × 103 kg applied per acre. (2) Furthermore, in the same Study Area section of the paper, the SOC was correctly calculated by dividing the SOM by 1.72. (3) The Figure 5 caption should be corrected to say that one of the triplicate bottles for PFBS and PFOA had substantially lower aqueous concentrations.
