1. Introduction 1.1. Summary Due to the unstable supply of rare earth minerals, the research and development of spoke-type permanent magnet synchronous motors (PMSMs) using ferrite permanent magnets has been actively pursued [1,2]. However, spoke-type motors suffer from the disadvantage of not being able to use large amounts of reluctance torque. Double-layer spoke-type PMSMs were designed to compensate for this.
