Why did you become a journalist?
I began writing for fun, but it quickly turned into a passion. Once I realized that I could make it into a career, I haven't looked back.
What story are you most proud of writing or working on?
Early in my career, I did a deep dive into a major horror franchise and how it evolved the "Final Girl" trope - my first real op-ed.
What advice can you offer to aspiring journalists?
Cover topics that you're the most passionate about.
What's the most common misperception about your beat?
That anyone who covers movies and TV means they're critics who only write reviews.
