Every week brings us just a little bit closer to the reopening of the Ontario Northland Railway, and I, for one, can’t wait. I fully admit that I am smitten with the romance of train travel — the unhurried pace, the intimate space, and the chance to see the countryside slip by your window, making you realize that you are actually headed somewhere. It is also about our heritage, because the history of the ONR really is a history of the development of Northern Ontario.
