2012 - Community Leadership

Implemented a “mentorship lite” service that links aspiring writers with senior writers. Chapter won a Pacesetter Award for innovation. Other chapters (including the New York Metro chapter) have implemented a similar service based on the model I created.

Led team in transition from geographically-based to virtual chapter, while continuing to support local programs. Increased volunteer team from 12 to 27. Guided strategic planning. Chapter won a Pacesetter Award for innovative use of technology.

STC Canada West Coast Chapter’s Distinguished Award

1995 - Training Materials

Researched, wrote, designed, illustrated, and desktop published 66-page, full-color prototype of beading how-to book. Pre-sold 1,500 copies. Obtained distributor. Expanded content to publisher specifications (final length 159 pages).
