Vote-by-mail requests are coming in across Tampa Bay as county electionsoffices begin sending ballots to domestic voters ahead of the Aug. 18 primary. Pinellas County, which historically hasa high percentage of people who vote by mail, had more than 161,000 ballot requests as of Monday. That’s a jump from the more than 120,000 ballot requests for the 2024 presidential primary, said Ashley McKnight-Taylor, communications director for the Pinellas County Supervisor of Elections office.
