DELAFIELD — They say you should do what you love, and for Brad and Jessica Gorecki, that’s helping to take care of dogs. They are now the newest owners of a Woofie’s franchise location in Lake Country offering mobile grooming, dog walking and in-home dog sitting. They had their soft opening of Woofie’s of Lake Country 10 months ago and are now planning a more formal introduction to the community during the June 22 DockHounds home game in Oconomowoc.

WLFD explores impact fee to fund new station

OCONOMOWOC — As the Oconomowoc area continues to grow, the need for emergency services is increasing right along with it, putting additional pressure on the Western Lakes Fire District to guarantee it can provide the firefighting and emergency medical services the community expects. That, of course, comes at a financial cost. In anticipation of the growing need, WLFD Chief Brad Bowen has approached the member communities seeking to implement an impact fee for new development.
