Kathy Witt’s Biography
Kathy Witt is an award-winning travel and lifestyle writer who writes a monthly syndicated travel/cruise column for Tribune News Service and is a regular contributor to Kentucky Living, Georgia, Southern Living and RealFoodTraveler.com, among others. She is the author of several books, including Perfect Day Kentucky: Day Trips, Weekend Getaways and Other Escapes; Cincinnati Scavenger: The Ultimate Search for Cincinnati's Hidden Treasures; Secret Cincinnati: A Guide to the Weird, Wonderful and Obscure and, due Fall of 2026, 100 Things To Do in Kentucky Before You Die. Kathy is a member of SATW (Society of American Travel Writers), Authors Guild and the Society of Children’s Book Writers and Illustrators.
Her writing has led to many cherished experiences and memories, including watching penguins play on the glaciers of Antarctica; glacier walking in the foothills of Denali; being a Guardian on an Honor Flight from Louisville, KY to Washington D.C.; interviewing Dolly Parton several times; sailing with Oprah with Holland America Cruises; and riding BOLT!, the roller coaster aboard Carnival’s Mardi Gras and Jubilee.
