Shore towns didn’t just fill up last summer. Their parking meters did, too. Drivers pumped more than $23 million into municipal parking across the Jersey Shore during the 2025 summer season, with a handful of tourist-heavy towns capturing an outsized share of the total. (Use the chart below to look up how much each town collected.) Asbury Park led by a wide margin, bringing in nearly $5.93 million — nearly a quarter of the revenue collected by all the towns.

The top high school in New Jersey is a magnet school in Monmouth County that gets top students ready for STEM careers, according to new data released by the state Department of Education. The new ratings come from the annual School Performance Reports that were released last month for more than 2,300 K-12 schools statewide. Parents can use the "summative rating" data from the reports to see how their student's school compares to others around the state.

A magnet school in Middlesex County had the highest average SAT score in New Jersey last year, with a near-perfect score. Edison Academy Magnet School students had an average SAT score of 1,539, just 61 points off a perfect score of 1,600, new data released by the state Department of Education earlier this month shows.
