I'm a storyteller. A broadcast journalist for more than a decade. I've gotten the chance to tell award-winning stories and to man the anchor desk for live, breaking news events in two of my favorite places on the planet: New Orleans and Colorado. I have been known to cover everything from corruption to kangaroos. I'm a new-ish mom. I love wine that tastes good. I love to ski. I love yoga (although I rarely get to do either these days). And I love social media.

2008 - Investigative Reporting

Emmy Nomination received for a 6 month investigation into double billing at Orleans Parish Prison. I uncovered a system of billing where the city of New Orleans, the state of Louisiana and the U.S. Government were simultaneously getting billed for inmate stays at the prison.

Walter Cronkite Award for Individual Achievement in Television Political Journalism

2005 - Individual Achievement

Award received from Walter Cronkite before his death for creative, innovative political coverage of the 2004 election cycle. Award required submission of nearly an hour's worth of political coverage during my time as Chief Political Reporter at KOAA-TV in Colorado Springs

New Orleans Press Club Jim Metcalf Award

2008 - Story of the Year

Jim Metcalf Award from the New Orleans Press Club for the investigation I conducted into double billing at Orleans Parish Prison
