1 Introduction Breastfeeding is well established in protecting infant and maternal health and stands as a critical public health matter [1-3]. Breastfeeding mothers' need education and support to breastfeed successfully [4]. Yet despite its well-established benefits, only 39% of Australian mothers exclusively breastfeed to 3 months and 15% reach 5 months [5], which is less than the recommended duration of 6 months of exclusive breastfeeding [6].
