Abstract This study introduces a cutting-edge approach to tree species classification in environmental monitoring by leveraging UAV-based visible light imagery. Focusing exclusively on visible light images captured by unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs), we address the limitations of traditional classification methods with the powerful DenseNet121 deep learning architecture.

FIX IT OR SAY GOODBYE Some years ago, I served as the lead engineer overseeing the maintenance of plant machinery for Zambia Railways. One of my responsibilities was to ensure the availability of a mini train for operation at the trade fair every year. Commissioned in the 1980s, this little train has been a crowd favorite and even boasts a dedicated coach crafted for the head of state. What makes this train unique is that it moves on a rail track- It doesn’t use rubber tires.
