COLUMBUS, Ga. ( WRBL ) — Happy Sunday! We are tracking a few pop up showers this evening. Those rain chances are ramping up in the First Alert Forecast. Rain chances will return to the forecast by midweek. Another front will stall across the region, bringing more storms starting Tuesday. Rain will become more widespread by the end of the week (Thursday and Friday). This unsettled pattern will linger through the end of next week.

Tropical depressions possible in Atlantic this week

COLUMBUS, Ga. ( WRBL ) — We have two areas to watch in the Atlantic over the next week, both with a medium chance of becoming 'Dolly'. Area #1: An area of low pressure in the Central Atlantic is showing some signs of organizing. A brief tropical depression is possible over the next few days. Even if this system forms, it will not pose a threat to us here. 48 hours...50% 7 days...50% Area #2: A tropical wave will move off the coast of Africa tomorrow.
