Kay Steiger’s Biography

Born, raised and educated in the frozen tundra of Minnesota, Kay Steiger wandered to the swampland of Washington, D.C. in 2006. Since then, she's worked at a number of lefty news outlets, including The American Prospect, Raw Story, Talking Points Memo and ThinkProgress. She's written on politics, women's issues and culture. She edits ThinkProgress' all-lady politics team and provides site-wide editorial guidance. When she's not looking at the internet she runs half marathons, reads a bunch of books, and cooks.
