Customizing Electronic-Physical Dual-Shield Interlayers via d-p Orbital Hybridization for Ultra-Stable Zinc Metal Anodes
1 Introduction Driven by global carbon neutrality goals, electrochemical energy storage has become pivotal in the modern energy landscape [1]. However, the widespread lithium-ion batteries (LIBs) are plagued by critical safety hazards, prohibitive costs, and limited lithium resources, which severely impede their large-scale grid applications [2-5].
Prognostic value of early cardiac magnetic resonance first-pass perfusion assessment of microcirculatory dysfunction for acute rejection after heart transplantation
Background: Acute rejection (AR) remains a major obstacle to success after heart transplantation (HT). Impaired microcirculatory function is linked to a higher risk of AR. The value of cardiac magnetic resonance (CMR) resting first‑pass perfusion imaging for evaluating microcirculatory function to predict subsequent AR after HT remains unclear. We aimed to evaluate the prognostic value of CMR resting first‑pass perfusion parameters measured early after HT for AR.
Joint trajectories of frailty and depressive symptoms and risk of incident osteoarthritis in middle-aged and older adults
Abstract Background: Frailty frequently overlaps with depressive symptoms among middle-aged and older adults. However, it remains unclear how these two conditions develop concurrently over time and whether their combined longitudinal patterns are associated with the subsequent onset of osteoarthritis (OA). This study aimed to characterize the joint trajectories of frailty and depressive symptoms and to evaluate their prospective association with incident OA.
Daily fall risk assessment for older adults using a balance sensor with machine learning
Abstract Introduction: Fall-risk assessment is important for preventing falls in older adults, but many conventional balance tests are time-consuming and difficult to use frequently in daily practice. This study aimed to evaluate a rapid 30-s quiet-standing assessment using a balance sensor combined with machine learning for fall-history classification and fall-risk assessment.
Life’s essential 8 and longevity: the sustained impact of cardiovascular health on mortality from middle age to centenarians
Abstract While Life’s Essential 8 (LE8) provides a comprehensive measure of cardiovascular health (CVH), its association with mortality among the oldest-old, including centenarians, remains unclear. This study evaluated the relationship between LE8-defined CVH and all-cause mortality across adulthood using data from the China Kadoorie Biobank (Hainan cohort) and the China Hainan Centenarian Cohort Study, including 31,473 individuals aged 30–116.
Modifiable risk factors attenuated longevity genetic predisposition on life expectancy in the oldest old
Abstract In this prospective cohort study of 1545 participants aged 80 years and older from the China Hainan Centenarian Cohort Study, we investigated the independent and joint associations of modifiable risk factors and genetic predisposition with life expectancy. A weighted modifiable risk factor score (MRFS) based on 11 factors and a polygenic risk score (PRS) for longevity were constructed.
Adherence to endocrine therapy and survival outcomes in hormone receptor–positive breast cancer
Abstract Objective: To evaluate the association between adherence to adjuvant endocrine therapy and overall survival as well as breast cancer–specific survival in patients with hormone receptor–positive breast cancer, to characterize the dose–response and dynamic trajectory features of adherence, and to explore the potential mediating roles of treatment interruption and subsequent treatment escalation.

Wideband circularly polarized antenna loaded with π‐shaped dipole for millimeter‐wave applications
This paper presents a novel wideband circularly polarized antenna that is fed by substrate-integrated waveguide. Based on the design of placing a pair of chamfered semicircular patches above a slot, a -shaped radiator is introduced between the semicircular patches. Multiple resonance points are generated by the combination of the entire radiating structure and a dumbbell-shaped slot, resulting in improved impedance bandwidth and axial ratio (AR) bandwidth.

Accurately identifying hemagglutinin using sequence information and machine learning methods
1. Introduction Influenza is a contagious respiratory disease, posing a significant threat to human health and causing varying degrees of disease burden globally (1, 2). Hemagglutinin (HA), a glycoprotein on the surface of influenza viruses, mediates viral entry and infection by binding to host sialic acid receptors (3). The highly conserved stem or stalk region of HA has been identified as a promising target for the development of a universal influenza vaccine (4).
Influence of Butter Layer Thickness on Microstructure and Mechanical Properties of Underwater Wet 16Mn/304L Dissimilar Welded Joint
1. Introduction Austenitic stainless steel 304L is widely used in corrosion-resistant pipelines, marine propellers, and pressure vessels, due to its superior tensile strength and corrosion resistance. The high content of alloying elements in 304L steel drives up production costs. The low alloy steel, 16Mn, which is characterized by a low carbon content and the presence of few alloying elements, possesses desirable qualities such as high strength, exceptional toughness, and cost effectiveness.
PVTReID: A Quick Person Reidentification-Based Pyramid Vision Transformer
1. Introduction In recent years, more and more attention is being paid to the public safety; in this context, it is very important to improve person retrieval ability. Person re-identification (ReID) is a technology for searching for specific people from images captured by different cameras. It can complement face recognition technology and meet the needs of current intelligent monitoring.
Low-Profile Millimeter-Wave Metasurface-Based Antenna with Enhanced Bandwidth
1. Introduction Following the development of wireless communication technology, it has become deeply integrated into the daily life of humans. In recent years, the development of 5G has driven widespread demand for millimeter-wave technologies, which require greater bandwidth for high-speed data transmission.
STGNN-FAM: A Traffic Flow Prediction Model for Spatiotemporal Graph Networks Based on Fusion of Attention Mechanisms
Network traffic state prediction has been constantly challenged by complex spatiotemporal features of traffic information as well as imperfection in streaming data. This paper proposes a traffic flow prediction model for spatiotemporal graph networks based on fusion of attention mechanisms (STGNN-FAM) to simultaneously tackle these challenges.
CMR validation of left ventricular volumes and ejection fraction measured by the IQ-SPECT system in patients with small heart size - EJNMMI Research
LVEF is overestimated by conventional SPECT in patients with small hearts, and the incidence of small heart size is high (nearly 80% in Asian women) [14]. On the other hand, IQ-SPECT has advantages such as fast acquisition time, high resolution, and low injection volume. Because conventional SPECT is still more common, we compared the two methods in patients with small hearts to determine which method was more similar to CMR.
Identification of molecular pattern and prognostic risk model based on ligand-receptor pairs in liver cancer
Introduction HCC ranks as the sixth most prevalent new tumor in the world, but the second most common new death (1). Due to the insidious character of liver cancer, the detection rate of early-stage liver cancer is quite poor, while the highly malignant characteristics of liver cancer frequently result in the identification of liver cancer at an advanced stage.

Vertebral artery terminating in posterior inferior cerebellar artery: A normal variation with clinical significance
A vertebral artery (VA) terminating in a posterior inferior cerebellar artery (PICA) is often considered to be a normal variation associated with VA hypoplasia. We aimed to investigate the clinical significance of this cerebrovascular variant. A total of 80 patients with clinically evident cerebrovascular events in posterior circulation were examined by duplex sonography and magnetic resonance angiography (MRA). Eighty healthy subjects who had MRA check-up were recruited as controls.
'Grass hairpins' expose 'the naked ape' in us
A weird but interesting trend has spread across China's social network sites: selfies of people with grass "growing" out of their heads. In fact, it's not rare to see people with hairpins with plastic grass on their heads on the streets. Some celebrities, too, have joined the trend. It's interesting to see this ACG (animation, comic and game) fashion trend spreading to the real world.
