911 service restored in northern Wyoming after fiber line vandalism
Emergency 911 service is back online Friday in northern Wyoming after vandals cut a fiber line Monday, disrupting emergency calls in both Park and Big Horn counties. Black-legged tick confirmed in second Montana county
GREAT FALLS — Two Montana counties are now reporting confirmed sightings of the black-legged tick, best known for carrying Lyme disease. The tick has now been identified in Sheridan County in northeastern Montana, which includes the community of Plentywood. This comes in addition to confirmation of the tick earlier this spring in Dawson County. In the Dawson County instance, the unusual tick was found on a dog following a hunting trip.

Colorado woman ID'd as victim of fatal Billings crash
A Colorado woman was identified as the victim in a two-vehicle fatal crash in Billings Friday evening, according to the Montana Highway Patrol. The woman, who was 24 years old from Wellington, Colorado, was driving south on North 27th Street around 5:15 p.m. when she lost control of her Dodge Dart and collided head on with a Chevy Suburban that was traveling north on North 27th Street, according to a report from state troopers. The Colorado woman was pronounced dead at the scene.

A celebration of life was held in Sheridan, Wyoming, on Friday, March 1, 2024 for fallen Sheridan Police Sergeant Nevada Krinkee, who grew up in Bozeman and was killed in the line of duty on February 13, 2024. He grew up in Montana, graduating from Bozeman High School in 2009. He then went on to serve eight years in the Army before becoming a police officer in Wyoming. His wife Karla is a corporal with the Sheridan Police Department and handler for the agency's K-9 unit.

Teen arrested in connection with November murder of 17-year-old in Billings
A 15-year-old boy was arrested Tuesday on suspicion of deliberate homicide in the case of the shooting death of another teen on Billings South Side last November, according to Billings police.
