DANVILLE, Ind.—Isabella Zarate is rarely sitting at her desk in the historic Danville Republican newspaper building, which dates back to 1847. The office has kept many of its authentic elements—copies of every issue in bound books, massive linotype and graphotype machines, metal and wood type in shelves on the walls.

Whether it’s through an equine program or creating a neighborhood for foster families, Coyote Hill Ministries is dedicated to helping children in the foster system. With locations in Columbia, Jefferson City, Moberly, Harrisburg and Hannibal, it has been committed to providing a safe place, resources and community support in mid-Missouri for over 35 years. “When we started in ’91, that looked like a Christian children’s home setting,” Chief Operating Officer Kari Hopkins said.
