Sperm retrieval, fertilization rates, and clinical outcomes of infertile men with Y chromosome microdeletion: A retrospective cohort study
Abstract INTRODUCTION: We aimed to explore whether a Y chromosome microdeletion (YCM) confers adverse effects on surgical sperm retrieval potential and intracytoplasmic sperm injection (ICSI) outcomes in men with azoospermia and severe oligospermia. METHODS: This was a retrospective cohort study that included infertile men with azoospermia or severe oligospermia who were evaluated for karyotype analysis and YCM testing at a university-affiliated hospital between 2010 and 2022.

Survey of the quality and origins of websites on penile low-intensity shockwave therapy in Canada
Abstract INTRODUCTION: The aim of this study was to establish the quality of patient-facing websites advertising low-intensity shockwave therapy (LISWT) for erectile dysfunction (ED) and Peyronie’s disease (PD) patients in Canada. METHODS: Canadian websites offering LIWST for ED or PD were identified using online web searches.
Diverse monogenic subforms of human spermatogenic failure - Nature Communications
Abstract Non-obstructive azoospermia (NOA) is the most severe form of male infertility and typically incurable. Defining the genetic basis of NOA has proven challenging, and the most advanced classification of NOA subforms is not based on genetics, but simple description of testis histology. In this study, we exome-sequenced over 1000 clinically diagnosed NOA cases and identified a plausible recessive Mendelian cause in 20%.

The effect of ethnicity on semen analysis and hormones in the infertile patient
Abstract Introduction: We aimed to study the association of ethnicity on semen parameters and hormones in patients presenting with infertility. Methods: Data from men presenting for infertility assessment were prospectively collected and retrospectively reviewed. Demographic and clinical history was self-reported. Semen analysis included volume, count, motility, morphology, and vitality. The 2010 World Health Organization cutoffs were used.

Clomiphene citrate rescue of spermatogenesis in men with infertility while remaining on finasteride: A case report
Clomiphene citrate rescue of spermatogenesis in men with infertility while remaining on finasteride: A case report Finasteride is a selective inhibitor of type-2 5-alpha reductase enzyme, preventing the conversion of testosterone to dihydrotestosterone (DHT). Finasteride is used as an oral drug for the treatment of benign prostatic hyperplasia at the 5 mg/day dose and is also used for the treatment of androgenic alopecia, or male pattern hair loss, at a dosage of 1 mg orally.
Prepare grain bins for harvest
With harvest approaching, it’s time to prepare grain bins and harvesting equipment to help ensure that grain going into storage will remain in good condition.Put the highest quality grain into the bin, or bring it to the proper moisture condition as quickly as possible. Overall quality of stored grain always deteriorates, it is just a matter of how fast.
Don’t assume protection when scouting early corn
As corn begins to emerge, agrononists and crop scouts need to be alert to the potential for damage from early season insects such as cutworms, wireworms, or white grubs. Wireworms and white grubs are most often associated with fields that have been in pasture or CRP where the grasses were allowed to grow for more than one year. It is rare to see these problems in continuous corn, but exceptions happen.

Steps in the investigation and management of low semen volume in the infertile man
Abstract An adequate semen volume of ejaculate fluid is required to transport sperm into the female reproductive tract and allow for fertilization of the oocyte. Thus, seminal fluid volume is an important part of the semen analysis done to investigate male infertility. In this article, we review the anatomy and physiology of ejaculation, the various etiologies of low-volume ejaculation (artifactual, structural, functional).
