1. Introduction In 2020, the road transport sector was responsible for 11.9% of greenhouse gas emissions worldwide [1]. To combat human-made climate change, a reduction in these emissions is urgently necessary. One possible strategy to reduce these emissions is the electrification of this sector, resulting in a yearly electrical energy demand of several hundred GWh in Europe [2]. Due to the generally high idle times of passenger cars, this total demand can be flexibly shifted.
