Safe to assume you’ve already printed out and studied the Ultimate Fantasy Football Cheat Sheet? Good. What about doing some fantasy football mock drafts? Excellent.
Cleveland Browns claim QB Kellen Mond off waivers from Minnesota Vikings
BEREA, Ohio (AP) — Kellen Mond's the latest addition to Cleveland's ever-changing quarterback room. The Browns claimed Mond off waivers on Wednesday from the Minnesota Vikings, placing the second-year QB third on their depth chart behind fill-in starter Jacoby Brissett and backup Joshua Dobbs. Cleveland needed a third QB after terminating Josh Rosen's contract Tuesday when general manager Andrew Berry set the team's initial 53-man roster.

2021 NFL Draft: Mock Draft
This is Andrew Cooper’s 2021 NFL mock draft, the culmination of his division by division Draft Needs Series covering each team which can be found here. Follow him on Twitter @CoopAFiasco. 1) Jacksonville Jaguars -- Trevor Lawrence, QB, Clemson This is an easy one. Trevor Lawrence has seemingly been a first overall pick since he was a freshman in college and he’s been the Jaguars first overall pick ever since the Jets inexplicably won those two games against the Rams and Browns last season.
2021 NFL Draft: Running Back Preview
Running backs are the most fickle assets in dynasty fantasy football. In the moment, during the season, they can seem like the most important part of your roster due to the scarcity of truly productive players at the position. This is especially true in the age of committee backfields we live in now.
NFL Playoffs DFS: Packers/Buccaneers Showdown Playbook
Spread: Packers -3.5 O/U: 51.5 Money Line: Packers -180; Buccaneers +155 Betting Trends: Tampa Bay is 10-8 against the spread (ATS) this season. The total has hit the over in 10 of Tampa Bay's 18 games. Green Bay is 11-6 ATS this season. The total has hit the over in 10 of Green Bay's 17 games.
NFL Weekly Survivor Plays: Week 9
Another nail biter as rookie sensation Antoine Winfield, Jr raced across the end zone and got in the way of Daniel Jones two-point conversion pass giving Tampa the win over the Giants. Survivor pools lost some participants with unexpected losses by Green Bay and Tennessee. We head into Week 9 with many pools still with large numbers of participants still alive.
Fantasy Football IDP Report: Week 6
Published: Oct 15, 2020 After the longest Week 5 the NFL has ever seen played out, we get no Thursday night game in Week 6 (but two Monday games). Thus, you have more time to tinker with your rosters and adjust your IDPs with waiver wire moves and free agent pickups. Plenty of LBs to ponder over claiming, and a fair number of CBs. Not so much in the way of available safeties or defensive linesmen, but them’s the breaks.
NFL DFS Monday Slate Breakdown: Week 4
Published: Oct 05, 2020 Time to take a look at some Monday DFS with a two game slate! As always, I encourage you to check out Ryan Hallam’s Weekly Previews to get a deeper look into tonight’s action. In the meantime, here’s a snapshot of each game. Take a read and go build some lineups – remember, I only play GPP tournaments for short slates – then come back and compare to the ones I am leaving here as examples. As always, these are meant to serve as a comparison tool for your own lineups.
Fantasy Football IDP Report: Week 3
Published: Sep 24, 2020 Whew, that was a lotta injuries in Week 2. Not totally unexpected given the limited training camp schedule and lack of preseason games, but still, woof. It is essential that as fantasy owners we make adjustments, and find replacements for those starting IDPs we were so excited that we landed in our drafts. Now the work begins…and the fun, to be quite honest. Bye Weeks coming up: Do not concern yourself until Week 5.
Fantasy Football D/ST Preview: D/ST's on the Rise
Considering the fact that this is normally a position that you’ll wait on to draft, “late-round D/ST” is a bit redundant. You could also view this as an article that will start helping you identify some potential D/ST’s to stream when the season comes around. But these are the few defenses that have made some noise so far in the offseason, and who could still improve on the defensive side of the ball through the draft.
NFL Injury Report: December 24
Week 17 is upon us as we get ready to conclude the 2019 NFL season. Happy Chanukah, Merry Christmas and Happy Kwanzaa to everyone out there. Most season-long fantasy leagues decided their champions after Week 16, but there are plenty leagues that run through the end of the season. This makes things a little more challenging since several teams know their playoff fate and choose to rest players.
Fantasy Football Handcuff Report: Week 15
Published: Dec 12, 2019 Week 15 usually represents the second round of the season long fantasy football playoffs. It’s also a great time to be submitting DFS lineups as well. Here’s a few quick hits that can help you get the most fantasy production from the RB position. There’s still a lot of time between now and Sunday, but Raiders RB Josh Jacobs , who didn’t play in Week 14 due to a shoulder injury, looks like he has a chance to play against the Jaguars in Week 15.
NFL Target Analysis: Week 13
Published: Dec 05, 2019 We talk all the time about the context of targets. Getting a ton of targets is great, but I’d rather have 89 targets from Dak Prescott than 109 targets from Ryan Finley or Andy Dalton . Context plays a big role in evaluating the targets from Week 13 as well. The weather limited the passing attack in the SF vs. BAL game, though it played less of a factor in GB vs. NYG than many anticipated.
Fantasy Football WR Report: Deep Gems
The term “sleeper” is very outdated. This is a topic gets discussed frequently in all fantasy circles. No one is a sleeper anymore, there is so much talk and content out there that everyone has heard about everyone. So, for that reason, I am not going to call these guys sleepers, but rather they are guys that can be had late in drafts.
Fantasy Football QB Report: Colts Feeling Luck-y
Here we are again. Another preseason and more injury questions surrounding one of the biggest QB names in the game. No we’re not talking Cam Newton and his shoulder (that was mentioned last week), nor Jimmy Garoppolo and his knee (also mentioned last week), nigh we’re talking the illustriously bearded-one, Andrew Luck . In fact, the only thing he’s apparently able to do over the summer is maintain his mane.
NFL Injury Report: July 23
Greetings and salutations to the fantasy football universe. Welcome to the first edition of the NFL Injury Report for the 2019 season as we head into training camp. We covered many of the players who are coming back from injuries in the 2019 NFL Draft Guide, so this weekly edition of the injury report will take a look at some current injuries and players who are dealing with more recent maladies. As you will notice, many players get designated with the status of active/PUP during the preseason.
2019 NFL Draft Guide: Coaching Systems -- AFC East
Over the years, the growth of statistical analysis in fantasy football has been incredible to watch with numerous web sites digging into some pretty in-depth metrics to use when analyzing the performance of both NFL teams and their players. However, as we have routinely pointed out, there are many pitfalls you can fall into when looking at year-to-year numbers. Things change at a rapid rate in the NFL.
2019 NFL Draft Guide Player Profile: Leonard Fournette
Published: Jun 03, 2019 Since being drafted in the first round by the Jaguars in 2017, Leonard Fournette has played in just 21 regular season games. When he’s played, he’s been productive for the most part, although 2018 was a disappointing fantasy campaign compared to his excellent rookie season. A suspension and injury highlighted a down year for Fournette, as he averaged fewer than 20 touches per game and a measly 3.3 yards per carry.
NFL WR/CB Match-ups: Championship Round
Published: Jan 17, 2019 The playoffs are here! Welcome to the AFC and NFC Championships! Just like last week, the WR/CB Matchups article takes a different spin here in the playoffs compared to the regular season, as it is expanded with more DFS notes to serve as the weekly DFS WR Coach as well. In a nutshell, this article is your one-stop shop for the wide receiver position this Championship Round. Remember, the No. 1 wide receiver doesn’t always matchup against the No. 1 cornerback.
2018 NFL Week That Was: Week 15
Chris Carson : Chris Carson carried a big load for fantasy players Sunday despite his real team losing a game they should never have lost. Carson rushed 22 times for 119 yards and a TD Sunday. He also contributed in the passing game, hauling in all 6 targets for 29 yards. In PPR, that is a very healthy 26.8 points. With the Chiefs next and the Seahawks needing to control the ball and the clock, Carson will get a ton of run in a game they need to win. I am buying and you should too.
WinView Games Playbook: Redskins @ Eagles
Washington Redskins at Philadelphia Eagles Philadelphia Eagles -5.5 Over/Under 44.5 Chris Thompson practiced fully for the first time Friday since suffering broken ribs October 28. Zach Ertz has 84 catches for 895 yards and six touchdowns. He is on pace for 122 catches, which would break the tight end record of 110 set by Jason Witten in 2012. Ertz is also on pace to become just the sixth tight end in NFL history with more than 1200 receiving yards in one season.
NFL Target Analysis: Week 12
Between injuries and ineffectiveness, we have seen a lot of quarterback turnover in recent weeks, and it is having an effect on wide receivers. For the most part, backups like Lamar Jackson and Jeff Driskel are severely limiting their receiver’s fantasy value, but there are some situations, like in Washington and Jacksonville, where a quarterback change could lead to some surprise fantasy production.
2017 NFL WR/CB Match-ups: Week 9
Published: Nov 05, 2017 The picks last week didn’t come through, but many were upset with performances by guys like A.J. Green like I was. Let’s win some money in DFS and get another win in our seasonal leagues! Oh yeah, follow me on Twitter (@colbyrconway) as well! Now, here are my 10 favorite matchups in the slot this weekend.
2017 NFL WR/CB Match-ups: Week 6
Published: Oct 14, 2017 Well, from last week, Evans wasn’t great, Shepard and Parker got injured, but at least Brown wasn’t a disappointment. AHH. What could have been if there weren’t these stupid, freaking injuries! I’ve got a good feeling about the matchups below and we are going to win some money and matchups this week! Let’s go! Oh yeah, follow me on Twitter (@colbyrconway) as well! Now, here are my 10 favorite matchups in the slot this weekend. T.Y. Hilton vs.
2017 NFL Draft Guide: Why Kickers?
If only it were as easy as saying “No,” this piece would be a breeze. Unfortunately most fantasy football leagues still opt to use Kickers. It’s such a fluky position and so frustrating during the season. There are leagues that place such emphasis on Kickers that you lose 15 points for a missed extra point! Yours truly is in one of those leagues and it’s the most maddening of scenarios! In an ideal world kickers would be banned from fantasy eligibility.

Fantasy Football Top 5: NFL Week 4 RB
Published: Sep 28, 2016 Here in Week 4 of the NFL season we have many regulars still out with injury. However, we do get to welcome Pittsburgh running back Le’Veon Bell back to the mix. DeAngelo Williams will head to a complementary role while Bell will resume his spot as a regular elite running back option in all formats. We also saw how if things are going right, both Devonta Freeman and Tevin Coleman can be useful in Atlanta.

2016 NFL Week 2 IDP Breakdown
As we head into Week 2 of the season, there are some surprising developments on the IDP front to examine, especially in terms of players who simply did not live up to your expectations when you drafted them. No fears, though, as there were plenty of stellar performances by under-owned defensive players who you should be targeting going forward this season.
NFL Around the League: All Saints Day
November 1, 2015 – a day, which will live in infamy… The day that defense died. It was the New Orleans Saints hosting the New York Giants and it was a defensive showing of epically horrific proportions. Combined between the two: allowed were an NFL record 13 passing touchdowns (Eli Manning 6, Drew Brees 7), over 1,000 total yards of offense, and 101 points. November 1, every year – All Saints Day.

Here we review all of the fantasy-relevant players dealing with ailments and how to plan accordingly. Keep in mind that the inactive list isn't due until 90 minutes before kickoff. As you start to put the final touches on those lineups, have a fallback plan or two at the ready in the event you will be dealing with an ailing player.
Right, Wrong Or Indifferent?: Lessons From Week 14
Another week means another opportunity to sit in judgment of Jeff Mans! I have poured over Jeff’s rankings and opinions and, well, let us see how he did. Oh, and as usual, I will pepper this piece with a few of my own masterpieces and pieces of [use a word for dung] from the past week.
Fantasy Football: Week 7 Injury Report

Here we will review all of the fantasy-relevant players dealing with ailments and how to plan accordingly. Keep in mind, however, the inactive list isn't due until 90 minutes before kickoff.
2015 Fantasy Football Player Profile: Sam Bradford
Sam Bradford – QB – Philadelphia Eagles 6th season – 6’4” – 224 lbs 2014 Stats: DNP (Torn ACL) Pluses – If he can stay healthy, and that’s a HUGE if, there is a lot to like here with Sam Bradford in Philadelphia. Since Chip Kelly took the reins, the Eagles have had a top-10 passing offense each year and given their up-tempo style, there will be plenty of chances for the Eagles on offense.

Draft Guide: The Fantasy Football Injury Report
One of the most important aspects of preparing for your fantasy football draft is to keep a close eye on players that are coming back from serious injuries. That is because injured players can sometimes fall off of other GM’s radars and allow you to draft them for tremendous value. In 2014, there was no shortage of injuries to impact players, which likely had some effect on the outcome of your league.
