October is Hispanic Heritage Month, but it is also Disability Employment Awareness Month - a time to celebrate the many contributions people with disabilities make to America's workplace and economy. Latin-owned eatery Pilo's Street Tacos is a local restaurant that is including those with intellectual disabilities into their business concept while showing other companies why they are missing out by not doing the same.

With the tragedy in Surfside weighing heavily on the South Florida community, help is coming in the form of unconditional love from four-legged friends. K-9 comfort dogs have been deployed by the Lutheran Church Charities K-9 Comfort Dog Ministry to help bring healing to those affected by the tragic condo collapse.
