LONGWOOD — Under the lights of Boombah Soldiers Creek Park, the Lady War Eagles once again found themselves competing on Florida softball’s biggest stage, as for the second consecutive season Wakulla advanced to the FHSAA State Final Four. Sadly, the Lady War Eagles’ season ended with a 14-7 loss to the Eustis Panthers.

Wakulla Christian School Saints varsity baseball faced a challenging stretch, falling 12-2 at Hamilton County, to the Trojans. Trevor Andrews recorded a hit and drove in a run, while Jacob McKenzie also added a hit in the effort. The team then dropped a 16-1 decision to North Florida Christian Eagles in the district semifinal, where Andrews and McKenzie again accounted for the team’s two hits, with Andrews driving in the lone run. Wakulla Christian closed the season with a 9-11 record.

Wakulla County teams turned in a busy week across the diamond and beyond, highlighted by strong offensive performances and a dominant showing on the tennis courts. Wakulla athletes competed at the 2026 Pepsi Florida Relays, where David Whitaker placed sixth in the triple jump with a mark of 14.28 meters.
