Isa Torres decided to go back to her home state in Texas, and Jaysoni Beachum has visited several teams without making a decision on where she’ll play next. Make no mistake, those two players made up the best left side of any infield in college softball between their offense and defense.

Florida State closed out its summer official visits this weekend, hosting three players, which ended on a good note. Jemari Foreman shut down his recruitment after flirting hard with Louisville, and Florida State made good impressions on 3-star defensive end Stevan Thornton III and 3-star linebacker CJ Ohuabunwa. The latter two are targets who have emerged over the last few months, with Thornton earning an offer and an official visit after working out over a week ago.

The 2025 Florida State football season was disappointing on multiple fronts, and the offense, or lack thereof, in the red zone cost the Noles several wins. A lot of those issues fell on quarterback Thomas Castellanos and his inability to see the field or propensity to turn the ball over. Florida State will have much different offensive personnel when they take the field for the first time against New Mexico State on August 29th.
