The reception/auction Thursday at IP Casino Resort Spa drew a crowd of 230 patrons, despite awful weather all day in the area. Unfortunately, the Saints Hall of Fame Gulf Coast Scramble, scheduled for Friday, was canceled due to the torrential rain and wet grounds at Hickory Hill Country Club in Gautier.

In a battle of unbeaten teams, Mandeville-based Gulf Coast Lending Services came from way behind to outlast Archbishop Hannan-based Arena Title Company 11-10 in nine innings at Mandeville in a Crescent City Sports Prep Summer League showdown Wednesday evening. Nathan Woodward singled home Greyson Parker with the winning run in the bottom of the ninth inning.
