DAVIS, Okla. (KTEN) - A 15-year-old boy from Davis, Oklahoma has been reported missing.

ADA, Okla. (KTEN) — The World Cup, a sporting event bringing 48 countries together, led visitors from one Japanese village to Ada, Oklahoma, sparking a lifelong friendship. The Yasu district of Kunigami is located on the northernmost tip of Okinawa island. When written in the roman alphabet, their district — 安田 — spells “A-D-A,” sharing a name with none other than the City of Ada, Oklahoma.

ADA, Okla. (KTEN) — A large portion of Ada was without water service on Monday afternoon after a 20-inch main burst. City spokesperson Lisa Bratcher said work was underway to restore service at the scene of the break on Cradduck Road, which is closed to traffic in both directions. Bratcher added that any time there is extreme heat, water mains are subject to disruption because many of the pipes are old. She said the cause of Monday’s rupture was not yet determined.
