1 Introduction Surface air temperature (SAT) is a key parameter for assessing atmospheric and climatic processes (e.g., Trenberth et al. 2003). SAT analysis and monitoring on global and regional scales garnered significant attention in recent decades, owing to obvious evidence of widespread warming and climate change. As a result, a strong focus has been given to regional temperature change because of its influence on the weather and climate of the different regions (e.g., Kumar et al. 2023).
