Kevin Alexander is Thrillist's National Writer-at-Large, focusing mainly on the restaurant and bar industry. He is a James Beard and SPJ Award Winner, has written for Esquire, The New Republic, Elle, Men's Journal, The Boston Globe, Howler, and many other publications, and is currently working on a book about the glories and pitfalls of America's culinary revolution for Penguin Press. Somewhat regrettably, last year he also ate 330 burgers in 30 cities.

2017 - Profile

I won the 2017 JBFA in the profile category for my look at NY Times restaurant critic Pete Wells.

Society of Professional Journalists Award

2004 - Mark of Excellence, Nonfiction Article

I won an SPJ Mark of Excellence Award for my Boston Magazine story "Boys Life," which followed the routines of three middle school students with very different backgrounds. It was an excerpt from my Boston University masters thesis.
